Refractaris participates in the construction of the world´s tallest solar tower in Dubai. 260 meters high, and capable of generating 100 MW, the project is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2020.
The tower is part of a hybrid project that includes 250 MW photovoltaic plant and a 700 MW CSP plant. The contractor is the Chinese company Shangai Electric and in wich Refractaris participates.
The project -part of the fourth phase of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park- will be the world’s largest concentrated solar power plant combining the solar concentration technologies (CSP) of central tower and the cylinder-parabolic.
Refractaris has been awarded the engineering and manufacture of the thermal shield of protection of the central tower of the project called NOOR ENERGY 1 located in the United Arab Emirates 50 km south of Dubai, wich highlights the Arab country´s great commitment to solar energy.
Refractaris has recently completed the construction of two heat shields of international CSP Projects (Thermosolar Concentration Energy) as Cerro Dominador in Chile or Luneng Haixi in China.
