Refractaris has launched its first Equality Plan, corresponding to the period 2020-2024, in order to continue deepening the gender equality policies that the company has been developing at various levels. This plan is supported by the Ministry of Equality through the Secretary of State of the same name and the Women’s Institute.
The plan includes a set of measures to promote equal opportunities and actions to be implemented after analysing different matters such as the selection and hiring process, professional classification, training, professional promotion, working conditions -wages and worklife balance-, remuneration and prevention of harassment due to gender.
The plan will be in a process of continuous improvement and evaluation
The management of Refractaris, together with the company’s equality committee, negotiated the plan based on the conviction that non-discrimination, equal opportunities and the reconciliation of family, work and personal life allow the potential and efficiency of the entire workforce to be valued and improved, while at the same time improving their quality of life in general, which has a direct impact on increasing productivity in the organisation. The plan will be in a process of continuous improvement and evaluation.
